The "REDEMPTION SONG -THE DEFINITIVE BIOGRAPHY OF JOE STRUMMER" by Chris Salewicz Book Launch took place on Monday,16th October 2006 from 6.30 to midnight to a variety of personalities across the globe packed their luggage to be a part of this exciting event...
 

The venue was at the INN ON THE GREEN  3-5 Thorpe Close, Portobello Green (under the Westway off Ladbroke Grove and close to Ladbroke Grove tube station).

Charles Shaar Murray in discussion with Johnny Green and reflecting on his iconic statement about the Clash being, " The kind of garage band who should be speedily returned to their garage, preferably with the motor running, which would undoubtedly be more of a loss to their friends and families than to either rock'n'roll." Charles felt that The Clash needed a drummer of Topper Headen's status and that Keith Levene was surplus to requirement..........
